Lilburn, Georgia, a city in Gwinnett County. Gwinnett County, established on December 15, 1818, was named after Button Gwinnett, one of Georgia’s three signers of the Declaration of Independence. The county was carved from land ceded by the Creek and Cherokee Nations following treaties with the federal government.
